BIO

NAME:      Shane Coppage 
BORN:         April 27, 1977
HOME:      Northern Kentucky, USA
College:     Graduated in December of 2000 from Thomas More College 
                       with a B.A. in Fine Arts. 
Extent of Career: I have been illustrating professionally for about 4 years;  since late 2001.
Technique:   I work with Painter 8 for rendering and Photoshop 6 for image editing. I draw most
                     of my images with graphite  pencil first then I scan that in and  finish the illustration 
                     digtially; I use a mouse, I have never owned a graphic tablet, but would
                     very much like to in the future ...
Interests:   I try to expose myself to a variety of things, especially in visual media.
Hobbies:   In my past time I tend to my overall health with exercise like Yoga and zazen, plus
                       spend a great deal of time with my family and dogs.
Favorite Video Games:  Resident Evil 4, Shadow of the Colossus, and Devil May Cry 3.
Favorite  Movies:  Aliens, Batman Begins, almost everything by Tim Burton, 
                               The Matrix..ya, know: typical dude movies..... 
Favorite Anime:  FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Anything by Hayao Miyasaki, Samurai Champloo,Last Exile, 
                             Ghost in the Shell.....
Favorite Book: Neuromancer (only book I have ever read more than once, now on my 4th time.)
Artists of Influence: Micheal Whelan, Brom, Mark Zug, Katshuhiro Otomo, Hayao Miyasaki, and the list goes on from 
                                     comics to film and beyond...
Music: I listen to paticlurly all genres except country, I pretty much hate that. Some of my favorite bands/musicians are: 
              The Mars Volta; Gorillaz; the Pillows; Boa; Rage Against the Machine(with Zach); Portishead; Fiona Apple; 
              The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs; Dany Elfman......
TV Shows:  The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, South Park, Teen Titans, The Boondocks (see a trend there?)......
